MountainMap™ was created from the idea that the best way to conserve our forests is to experience them. By experiencing them, you will start to understand them, and when you start to understand them, you will start to love them.

This film produced by Patagonia carries a message that's at the heart of our mission. The bottom line ... we need forests more than they need us.

The forces that create Climate Change are happening in the mountains at a faster rate than other geographic area. One of the by-products of this project is to build natural resource management tools that will help quantify and qualify the change happening by using remotely sensed data, mobile data collection.
